ADDMA announces Dr. Giorgos Stamtsis as its new President
Dr. Giorgos Stamtsis has been appointed as the new President of the Athens Development and Destination Management Agency (ADDMA).
He holds a Diploma in Electrical Engineering from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and a Doctorate of Engineering (Dr.-Ing.) from the University of Duisburg-Essen in Germany.
He has extensive experience as an executive in the energy sector. Since 2014, he is the General Manager of the Hellenic Association of Independent Power Producers (HAIPP) where he was previously the Deputy General Manager from 2012-2014.
From 2010 - 2012, Dr. Stamtsis served the Government of Greece as Senior Advisor to the Secretary General of Energy and Climate Change.
From 2007-2010, he was Commercial and Trading Manager at Endesa Hellas, and from 2005-2007 he worked in Energy Supplies & Trading at Mytilineos SA.
Dr. Stamtsis is a member of the Technical Chamber of Greece, the Climate & Clean Air Coalition, and VDE. He has presented work at numerous conferences and published articles in international peer-review journals as well as news media. He was born in Germany and speaks Greek, English and German.
