Athens City Festival returns to the Greek capital in May

The Athens City Festival returns to the Greek capital in May, with over 200 activities and events for Athenians and visitors of all ages.

Set to take place for a second consecutive year during May 1-31, the festival will feature events focusing on culture, entertainment, gastronomy and sports including concerts and parties at parks and squares, thematic routes for walking and cycling, picnics, guided tours to museum and gallery collections, outdoor activities, events for children and more.

"The Athens City Festival is the city in one celebration. A month of events throughout Athens, as we join forces with cultural organizations, creative groups, artists and communities to highlight and share the city's rich culture. But also to have fun!", Athens Mayor Kostas Bakoyannis said. Last year, the festival attracted over 50,000 Athenians and visitors.

The Athens City Festival is organized by ADDMA in collaboration with the city's creative bodies including public and private museums, galleries, cultural foundations, collective citizens' bodies, artists, educators and more.
