Develop Athens welcomes Panayiotis-Peter Kontis as new President

Panayiotis-Peter Kontis has been appointed as the new President of Develop Athens.

Mr. Kontis was born and raised in Athens. He holds an MBA, an MSc, and an MA from Northeastern University in Boston. He has extensive experience in management and financial strategy, having served in executive roles at multinational companies such as Coca-Cola, Johnson & Johnson, and Volkswagen-Audi.

He has been a visiting professor for more than 20 years at academic institutions in both the United States and Greece.

Currently, he serves as Vice President at Ameresco, focusing on the design and implementation of renewable energy investments across Europe.

With his knowledge, experience, and deep connection to the city, the new President will help realize the vision of Develop Athens for a sustainable, modern, and dynamic capital.
