Athens’ contemporary art scene continues to rise as local museums and art galleries launch new exhibitions and projects, winning over visitors.

According to an article published in the online edition of Italian financial newspaper “Il Sole 24 Ore”, Athens’ National Museum of Contemporary Art (EMST) has seen its visitor numbers increase significantly over the past year, thanks to the launch of new temporary exhibitions and events.

Meanwhile, the city's private galleries and foundations embrace the work of local and international artists, and are planning new exhibitions and projects for 2023.
