Cineuropa: Athens expands its role in global film and TV with The Owl Industry Days
Cineuropa, a portal dedicated to the European audiovisual industry, has published an extensive article on The Owl Industry Days, a two-day event recently held in Athens, featuring presentations, discussions and panels on Greek fiction productions.
Held during October 3-4, The Owl Industry Days facilitated over 200 B2B meetings between Greek audiovisual professionals and representatives from both Greek and international studios and production companies. “International producers and Greek filmmakers came together at The Owl to forge new creative partnerships, withheld during the event”, Cineuropa Journalist Vassilis Economou writes. The Industry Days was held during The Owl Screenwriting Workshop (October 1-4), the annual event organized in Athens for a third consecutive year by the Athens Film Office. Established by the City of Athens and run by Develop Athens S.A., the Athens Film Office has facilitated over 200 audiovisual productions in its four years of operation. Its primary responsibilities include supporting audiovisual producers and collaborating with other film entities to promote the city internationally through participation in film festivals and exhibitions.
