Athens Intermediate Body
The Athens Intermediate Body (AIB) of the Athens Development and Destination Management Agency, is an innovation at the European level, as it manages actions funded by European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and the European Social Fund (ESF). Through Structural Funds resources allocated by the Attica Operational Program, the Athens Intermediate Body (AIB) implements interventions related to urban regeneration, environmental protection, energy efficiency, health protection, social welfare and education activities, cultural and tourism development, and entrepreneurship support to the citizens, visitors and business people of the city of Athens.
The Athens Intermediate Body is overseeing the City of Athens "Integrated Territorial Investment" (ITI), in order to make the most of all available resources, that promote the city’s goals for sustainable urban development.
ΑΙΒ is staffed by expert employees with strategic planning experience, advanced management skills and experience in implementing economic, social and urban development plans.
